Castle Quay shopping centre is the hub of Banbury's Community, offering over 85 shops from retail chains to independent stores as well as places to eat and drink and enjoy that all important leisure time. The newly opened Banbury Gateway Shopping Park, just 3 miles from Longford Park, offers a further selection of stores including Marks & Spencer, Fat Face and Next, to name a few.

Local countryside

Getting out and about from Longford Park is simple. Banbury train station and Kings Sutton train station are just 2 and 3 miles away, respectively. Together these stations offer services to Warwick, Birmingham and London Marylebone on the Chiltern Line, and First Great Western services to Oxford, Reading and London Paddington. By road, the M40 (Junction 11) is just 3.6 miles away, and the M1 (Junction 15A) is around 25 miles away at Northampton. There is also a daily bus service to Banbury and Oxford, via Adderbury, Deddington and Kidlington.

To will be spoilt for choice when it comes to enjoying your all important leisure time. To enjoy the great outdoors head to Spiceball Parks which is the largest park in Banbury. It includes three large fields, a children's play area and a skate park. Directly across the road there is a sports centre, which includes a swimming pool, courts, cafes and gym facilities. If you are looking to enjoy a sports club there are rugby, canoeing, golf and cricket clubs, representing a variety of age groups from amateur to national level. There is cinema and bowling also ideally located in Banbury.

For those more inclined to pursue leisure activities away from the gyms and skate parks, Wroxton Abbey, a modernised 17th-century Jacobean manor house built on the foundations of a 13th- century Augustinian priory, is just a 20 minutes drive away.

There is a primary school ideally located in Bodicote and for older children one of the campuses of Oxford and Cherwell Valley College as well as one of the international campuses of Fairleigh Dickinson University at Wroxton Abbey is situated in Banbury. There are three secondary schools to choose from as well as independent girls boarding school. *A new primary school on the Longford Park development will be opening September 2017.
